Kennedy’s Alberta momentum continued this week as he picked up two more endorsements from Liberal MLAs.
I mentioned his first three MLA endorsements back in September: Mo Elsalhy (the famous Mark Norris slayer), Bruce Miller, and Bill Bonko. On Wednesday, Gerard added two more names to his list of supporters from MLAs who have pledged to support Gerard once the bottom four candidates they have endorsed drop off: Hugh MacDonald, one of the longest serving and most respected MLAs in caucus, and Edmonton Manning MLA Dan Backs who can be seen sporting a cowboy hat in the picture above.
In Hughie’s case, this will actually mean another vote in Montreal as well since MacDonald was elected as a Ken Dryden delegate and has pledged to vote for Gerard once Ken drops off the ballot.
