As much as I hate plugging events on this blog, the Young Liberal Western Caucus (AKA “Camp Wanna Be Free”, pending a lawsuit from The Monkeys) is coming up July 11th-13th and, since it’s in Alberta and I’ll be missing it, I’ve been guilted into a post on it.

So, if you’re youngish and Liberalish, visit the facebook group (since if you’re youngish and Liberalish, I assume you’re on facebook) and register on the website. Things you can look forward to this year:

-Special guest Bob Rae, and a lake…who knows what will happen!
-Taxidermied animals on the walls
-A slip and slide
-“insane” and “crazy” policy talk
-A surprise appearance by Frank the Tank
-The Torrington stuffed gopher museum (The Louvre of Alberta) is just a half hour drive away
-It’s during Stampede, so you never know just who you’ll bump into around Calgary. Anders! Kenney! Harper! (bring your camera!)
