This has certainly been an odd election as far as celebrity endorsements go.
First, Bono turned on Paul.
Then, Kinsella has all but gotten on the Harper bandwagon.
Ralph Klein and Kim Campbell have both said they think Harper will lose.
Buzz Hargrove is now in Paul Martin’s pocket.
And now, watching Hockey Night in Canada, Don Cherry and Ron MacLean started talking about the BQ idea of Quebec getting their own hockey team. I don’t usually pay too close attention to Don, but the conversation went something like:
Don: I always liked that Gilles. He wears snappy suits. Nice hair. I’m right behind Gilles and everything you’re trying to accomplish.
Ron: (somewhat perplexed) Well, let’s just call that a case of duception.
So now Don Cherry is endorsing Gilles Duceppe and Quebec independence. Politics certainly does make for strange bedfellow.
