House Keeping

The Globe has a story on Tory candidates and abortion today so I’m going to go with January 10th for the first abortion reference in the off-beat election pool. Yes, there have been whispers about it by pundits, but this is the first time I’ve seen media coverage of a candidate making the comments so that’s the answer I’m going to lock in.

And while the campaign is far from over, I think the “soldiers with guns” ad likely wins for most vicious attack ad so far. Yes, yes, I know it’s not a real ad in the mind of John Duffy and the latest Tory ads are pretty vicious too, but the fact that it’s had to be pulled just shows how over the top it is.

It’s also looking very good for those who said “over 9%” for Tory support in Quebec, “no” to Belinda in Liberal TV ads, and “Liberal” for first place in the gaffe pool.
